The Black Bell Wheel and Lever Puzzle: Where to Find Both Parts

The wheel and the lever for Chapter Two's gate machine are both hidden in the maze area next to the gate itself. The console takes exactly one of each: search the maze, collect both parts, bring them back to the gate, and turn the lever on to raise the shutter.

Where the gate machine is

The Chapter Two passage leads downstairs into a basement workshop lined with shelves, workbenches and tools. A locked rolling gate stands here, wired to a console that's missing two parts. Inspect the console and the objective flips to FIND THE MISSING PARTS, with counters reading 0/1 WHEEL and 0/1 LEVER. Arthur's voice confirms it: there's a gate ahead that leads further down, a wheel and a lever are somewhere nearby, and you'll need both to open it.

Finding both parts in the maze

The parts are in the maze near the gate, and they aren't side by side — in a two-player run, one player found the lever while the other found the wheel at a different spot in the maze. Sweep the whole area until both counters read 1/1.

Two things to know while you search:

• If you spot a lever-shaped object that can't be grabbed, inspect it instead — that's the interaction it wants. A machine nearby can also be inspected and pressed.

Opening the shutter

Once you have both parts, head back to the gate machine and turn the lever on there. The gate opens, letting you continue down.

Past the gate

The gate takes you further down into the lower tunnels, where the next objective is the drainage system: find the valves and get the water out. The creature down there hunts by sound, so stay quiet.
